Girish Gogte is a Chartered Accountant with over thirty years in finance. He holds a Diploma in Information Systems Audit (DISA), a post-qualification of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

His career began in industry, where he spent eighteen years with Panalpina World Transport (India) Private Limited, the Indian subsidiary of a Swiss logistics group. The last four of those years were as Vice President – Controlling (Finance). That period covered financial planning and analysis — three-year business plans, annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and monthly business-unit performance review — alongside internal audit, systems implementation as a finance super-user during an SAP rollout, and finance training for non-finance colleagues.

Since 2014 he has been in independent practice. For recent years his focus has been Fractional CFO engagements with a small number of MSME clients across manufacturing, logistics, trading, and services. These engagements span financial reporting and management information, budgeting and forecasting, cost architecture, working capital, banking and funding support, financial due diligence, and ERP implementation support — full-spectrum or selective, calibrated to each client's stage and requirements. He is involved in clients' periodic management reviews and board presentations.

Alongside the advisory practice, he undertakes statutory audit, tax audit, and internal audit, and direct and indirect taxation work including certifications.

The practice takes its name from a simple idea — FINE, Financial Information for Navigation and Entrepreneurship: that the purpose of financial information is to help a business find its way.
